Overview
Aflac is seeking an IT Apprentice to join our Digital Services team. This two-year program offers hands-on experience across multiple areas of technology, preparing you for a future professional opportunity within the Information Technology division.
Depending on your location:
- Hybrid: If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac Columbus, GA office, you’ll work onsite at least 60% of the week.
- Remote: If you live more than 50 miles away, you’ll work from home, with occasional onsite visits as needed.

Education & Experience
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (0–2 years IT experience)
- Preferred:
- Object-Oriented Development (Java, Python, C++, etc.)
- API development and DevOps tools (Git, Azure DevOps, JFrog)
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Cloud experience (AWS)
- Automated testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured, Robot Framework)
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Rotate across IT departments to gain broad experience
- Contribute to projects in programming, software development, analysis, and hardware
- Develop technical, project management, and leadership skills through assignments
- Observe senior personnel to learn methods, procedures, and standards
- Work on special projects and prepare executive-level presentations
- Participate in program improvement feedback sessions
