Job Description

The University of Bath is seeking a Programmes Officer to join the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences. This role provides operational and management support for a range of exciting undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

You will collaborate with Programme Managers and Officers to ensure the effective delivery of academic courses and help shape the student experience. In a job-share setup, you will co-lead a small administrative team and directly contribute to continuous process improvement and programme quality enhancement.

This is a part-time role (18.25 hours/week) with a requirement to work on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Remaining hours are flexible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and manage delivery of academic programmes
  • Lead a small team of admin staff (job-shared leadership)
  • Enhance student experience and operational efficiency
  • Develop and improve programme-related processes

Requirement

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with digital systems and tools
  • Administrative experience (preferably in a higher education setting)
  • Adaptability, problem-solving mindset, and team focus
