Overview
Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker to join our Adult Community Mental Health Service in Welwyn Garden City. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead, mentor, and contribute to the delivery of outstanding person-centred care within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and promote personalised, wellbeing-focused social care practice.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to social care colleagues.
- Support and assess newly qualified social workers (ASYE programme).
- Undertake duties as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) or be willing to train.
- Carry out complex assessments under the Care Act 2014 and contribute to safeguarding duties.
Requirements
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience.
- AMHP qualification (or willingness to train within a year).
- Strong understanding of adult mental health and social care legislation.
