About the Role
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is seeking a Domestic Assistant (Band 2) to join the cleaning services team at Ysbyty Gwynedd.
You’ll help maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning and related duties across wards, departments, and public/staff areas.
- Maintain hygiene and infection-control standards at all times.
- Follow Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
- Complete a 4–6 week induction with on-the-job training covering cleaning operations, safety, and infection control.
About You
- Able to organise and prioritise your own workload.
- Demonstrate care, compassion, and good communication skills.
- Possess basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience working as part of a team or in cleaning services (desirable).
- Welsh language skills are desirable, but not essential.
- Must meet UK Right-to-Work requirements.
