Location: Newport, Wales
Salary: £36,736 – £46,743 (includes up to £8,420 in allowances)
Contract Type: Fixed Term – 16 Months
Working Pattern: Full-time | Hybrid (20% office-based)
Overview
Join the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) and play a key role in delivering high-quality digital services using the latest cloud technologies, AI, and DevOps practices. You’ll design and maintain automated testing frameworks, collaborate with developers, and contribute to innovative projects improving digital systems across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated UI and API tests using Selenium, SpecFlow, and RestSharp.
- Work closely with developers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure strong test coverage.
- Diagnose, resolve, and document technical issues efficiently.
- Mentor colleagues on automation and testing best practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in delivering technical solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
- Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, SQL, and REST APIs.
- Experience in at least one mainstream programming language.
