Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, including seniors, individuals with dementia, and hospice care. This role enhances clients’ quality of life through personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs
- Administer medication and monitor for side effects
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
- Support clients with Alzheimer’s or dementia care
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, nursing homes, or assisted living preferred
- Knowledge of caregiving principles, first aid, and medication administration
- Experience in senior care, hospice, or dementia care highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage challenging behaviours
- UK driving licence preferred
- Physically fit for tasks requiring lifting and prolonged standing
- First aid or caregiving certification is an asset
