Overview
The Trust is seeking a Facilities Assistant (Domestic) to join the Facilities Team at The Royal Oldham Hospital. The postholder will provide a high-quality cleaning service across wards, clinics, admin areas and other Trust settings in line with PCFT cleaning standards.
Main Duties
- Perform general cleaning in clinical, sanitary and administrative areas.
- Follow Trust policies, cleaning schedules, infection control and COSHH requirements.
- Ensure safe disposal of all waste categories.
- Report incidents, near misses and faulty equipment.
- Store and maintain cleaning equipment appropriately.
- Attend mandatory training (fire safety, moving & handling, infection control).
- Work both independently and as part of the wider Facilities team.
- Carry out additional duties appropriate to the role as assigned by senior staff.

Education & Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience
- Experience in cleaning services
- COSHH and colour-coding knowledge
- Understanding of health and safety techniques

- Formal cleaning qualification
- Experience with NHS National Cleaning Standards
