Contract: 24-month Apprenticeship | Full-time (37.5 hrs/week)
Salary: £14,722 per annum (pro rata)

Overview
Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an ICT Technical Apprentice to join its high-performing digital team. As one of the NHS’s Global Digital Exemplars, the Trust delivers innovative tech solutions in-house with support from experienced technical specialists.
This apprenticeship provides hands-on experience, coaching, supervision and a structured induction. It includes a Level 3 ICT Information Telecommunications Apprenticeship, with the potential for future permanent roles or higher-level apprenticeships.
What You’ll Do
- Provide support within ICT Service Teams
- Learn to develop, maintain and support Trust systems
- Work across multiple Trust locations
- Receive continuous training, supervision and mentoring
- Build practical ICT and technical skills
What You Need
Essential:
- Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use initiative and maintain confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail
Desirable:
- GCSE English or Maths (Grade C or above)
- Customer service or people-facing experience
- Lived experience of mental health
Important:
Applicants with an equivalent or same qualification to Level 3 ICT will not be shortlisted.
