Contract: 24-month Apprenticeship | Full-time (37.5 hrs/week)
Salary: £14,722 per annum (pro rata)

Overview

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an ICT Technical Apprentice to join its high-performing digital team. As one of the NHS’s Global Digital Exemplars, the Trust delivers innovative tech solutions in-house with support from experienced technical specialists.
This apprenticeship provides hands-on experience, coaching, supervision and a structured induction. It includes a Level 3 ICT Information Telecommunications Apprenticeship, with the potential for future permanent roles or higher-level apprenticeships.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide support within ICT Service Teams
  • Learn to develop, maintain and support Trust systems
  • Work across multiple Trust locations
  • Receive continuous training, supervision and mentoring
  • Build practical ICT and technical skills

What You Need

Essential:

  • Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use initiative and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail

Desirable:

  • GCSE English or Maths (Grade C or above)
  • Customer service or people-facing experience
  • Lived experience of mental health

Important:
Applicants with an equivalent or same qualification to Level 3 ICT will not be shortlisted.
