Retail Assistant – Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
Location: Rampton Hospital, Retford
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm (some bank holidays)
Salary: £24,465 per annum (pro rata)

Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join the Retail Team at Rampton High Secure Hospital. This role supports the delivery of high-quality retail services that enhance patient care and rehabilitation. Previous retail experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Ordering, checking, pricing and displaying stock
- Providing friendly and efficient customer service to patients
- Supporting patient rehabilitation through retail interaction
- Daily cashing-up and weekly financial reconciliation
- Maintaining stock levels and following procedures
- Complying with Trust policies, including Health & Safety

Essential Requirements
- Good communication skills
- Basic literacy and numeracy
- Basic Health & Safety awareness
- Understanding of routine work procedures (training provided)

- Retail experience
- Healthcare environment experience
- Knowledge of NHS policies and procedures
- Food safety knowledge

- This role does not meet the salary threshold for a Skilled Worker Visa
- A DBS check is required (cost deducted from salary)
