Business Strategist – Cambridge University Press & Assessment
Salary: £48,100 – £64,375
Location: Cambridge, UK (Hybrid: 2 days/week in office)
Contract: Fixed Term (12 months), Full-time, 35 hours/week

About the Role
Cambridge University Press & Assessment is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Business Strategist to support corporate strategy, investment decision-making, and organisational planning that impacts over 100 million learners worldwide. You’ll join a small, high-impact Strategy team that partners closely with senior leaders to drive clarity, insight, and action across the organisation.
What You Will Do
- Apply commercial analysis and financial modelling to inform corporate and business area strategy.
- Produce and evaluate business cases for new product opportunities.
- Develop board-level presentations and concise reporting for senior executives.
- Contribute to and potentially lead strategic projects across business areas.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions with senior stakeholders.
- Partner with teams across the organisation to ensure strategic insight is translated into measurable business impact.
About You – Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or financial planning & analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience working on complex, ambiguous challenges.
- Highly analytical with experience in market research and financial modelling.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including influencing at executive level.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to synthesise complex issues.
