Overview
Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated Personal Care Assistants to join a large SEN provision in Gorton. This is a full-time, long-term role supporting pupils aged 11–19 with PMLD on a 1:1 basis. The role has a strong likelihood of becoming permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 personal care to pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
- Support students with physical, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Assist with personal hygiene, movement, and daily activities
- Maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar school or care setting
- Manual Handling training (highly desired)
- Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
- Team Teach training (advantageous)
- Child & Adult DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)
- Right to Work in the UK
- Able to provide two professional references
