Power BI Developer (Remote – UK)

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Power BI Developer to join our data and analytics team. This role is open to candidates with 0–10 years of experience, from entry-level to senior professionals.
You will help transform data into actionable insights by designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
- Gather and analyze business requirements for tailored BI solutions
- Model and optimize datasets using Power Query, DAX, and data modeling best practices
- Maintain and improve existing Power BI solutions
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and stakeholders
- Ensure dashboards meet business goals and data governance standards
- Troubleshoot data issues, performance bottlenecks, and inconsistencies
- Support BI adoption and contribute to overall analytics maturity
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Power BI (Reports, Dashboards, DAX, Power Query)
- Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.)
- Proficient in writing SQL queries and working with large datasets
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid grasp of data visualization best practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Experience with Azure (SQL, Synapse, Data Factory)
- Knowledge of ETL or data integration tools
- Exposure to Python, R, or similar analytics languages
- Familiarity with Power BI administration and workspace management
- Understanding of Agile methodology
- Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, Looker)
- Must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship
