Overview

The Project Manager will coordinate and deliver key strategic projects within the OneWolverhampton programme, supporting the Trust’s cost improvement plans. You will manage complex transformational projects with wide-reaching impact, ensuring actions are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver project objectives with the Programme Manager.
  • Engage stakeholders and identify potential improvement schemes.
  • Assess schemes for financial value, quality benefits, and risks.
  • Develop project plans including resources, milestones, KPIs, and communication strategies.
  • Challenge partners’ plans to maximize value within resource constraints.
  • Monitor project progress, escalate issues, and propose solutions.
  • Ensure clear project value and separate improvements from other schemes.
  • Provide regular feedback to the programme board.
  • Review project success, lessons learned, and next steps.
  • Establish and report on budgets and milestones.
  • Propose service changes impacting beyond own area of influence.

Experience & Skills Required

Essential:

  • Experience in complex change environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders and structure work breakdown effectively.
  • Confident communication at all levels, including senior management and board.

Desirable:

  • Public sector experience.
  • Experience working across organisational boundaries.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (ECDL or equivalent).
