Overview
Black Tree Gaming is seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to help build the interfaces powering Nexus Mods—used by millions of gamers and creators worldwide. You’ll work closely with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and deliver intuitive, performant, and accessible user experiences across web and desktop applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain frontend features for Nexus Mods’ web and desktop products.
- Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, and Backend Engineers.
- Implement responsive and accessible UI across devices and browsers.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
- Ensure performance, reliability, and strong test coverage.
- Participate in product discovery, prototyping, and technical evaluations.
- Follow best practices in testing, documentation, CI/CD, and code quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar frontend role.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Interest in learning new technologies.
- Experience working in agile teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with large-scale web applications, content platforms, or gaming communities.
- Familiarity with gaming ecosystems, modding tools, or user-generated content platforms.
- Passion for video games and mods.
