Overview
Join Aston University’s Transformation Management Office at a pivotal time in digital and business change. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions—working closely with Digital Services to design, specify, and deliver robust systems and integrations aligned with Aston’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Analyse business processes and define technical requirements for new or enhanced systems.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and testing teams to ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional needs.
- Document data flows, integration specifications, and produce prototypes to support stakeholder engagement.
- Support projects through their full lifecycle—from feasibility studies and business cases to benefits realisation.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Degree-level education with experience working on large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Ability to translate strategic drivers into clear technical and business requirements.
- Experience with process modelling, requirements engineering, and benefit management tools.
Desirable:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, Dynamics, or data-integration projects.
