Job Description

As a Business Development & Industry Relations Intern, you will join ATPCO’s Strategy organization, working closely with the Partnerships Group. You will help build and manage a single, living system of record for ATPCO’s industry and utility engagements.

This role focuses on connecting industry activity to ATPCO’s strategic priorities, surfacing partnership opportunities, and enabling faster, better-informed decision-making through structured analysis and clear communication.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the air travel industry utility landscape including IATA, ARC, ACH/A4A, and UATP
  • Map relevant industry forums and working groups involving ATPCO
  • Build and maintain an engagement inventory and taxonomy
  • Organize agendas, minutes, and decisions in SharePoint with clear change logs
  • Draft partnership theses outlining value, timing, and next steps
  • Propose and pilot a lightweight operating model including RACI and cadence
  • Build a simple dashboard tracking engagement coverage and opportunity pipeline
  • Prepare executive briefs and presentation materials ahead of key engagements
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and synthesize insights into recommendations
  • Monitor adoption of engagement processes and iterate based on feedback

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to turn ambiguity into structured insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and organized data
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Airline or travel industry knowledge is helpful but not required

Bonus Skills
Experience with SharePoint or Confluence, Airtable, light SQL or CSV work, RACI mapping, Power BI, or Tableau.
