About the Role
First American Trust is seeking a highly analytical Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement. This role focuses on advanced analysis, BI development, and collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business problems using data from multiple sources
- Identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement
- Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and data models
- Translate business requirements into analytical and BI solutions
- Develop data visualizations using Power BI and Power Automate
- Define and track KPIs in collaboration with stakeholders
- Perform data validation, QA testing, and documentation
- Improve and automate reporting and analytics workflows
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, BI, or process improvement
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in SQL and BI tools (Power BI, Power Automate)
- Experience with large datasets, relational databases, and data modeling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft 365 proficiency
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Snowflake
- Knowledge of star schemas and relational databases
- Experience supporting forecasting or operational analytics
- Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts
