With an academic proof of concept from Oxford University, completion of the LSE Startup Accelerator, a successful pre-seed round, and pilots across leading institutions, we’re now growing our founding team.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Founding Engineer to work directly with the founders in building and scaling Arti’s product suite. As our first technical hire, you’ll have high autonomy, real decision-making power, and clear growth opportunities.

The role is remote until September, with regular in-person team sessions across London, Paris, Geneva, and Kilada. As we scale, we’ll transition to a London-based office.

What You’ll Work On

• Improve and maintain web app interfaces (dashboard, chat, community)
• Build and refine LLM-driven tutor flows (RAG, multi-agent orchestration)
• Develop Supabase-backed APIs, storage, pipelines, and edge functions
• Set up and improve CI/CD, logging, error tracking, and observability
• Help implement security & privacy controls (GDPR, ISO27001 guidance)
• Collaborate closely with founders on architecture, pilots, and documentation

About You

• Strong product-building mindset with end-to-end delivery experience
• Truly full-stack: frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, multi-agent systems, and AI tooling
• Startup-ready: comfortable with change, speed, and ambiguity
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript & React skills
• Experience with Supabase or similar (Postgres, auth, Node.js/Deno)
• Practical knowledge of Python and SQL
• Exposure to CI/CD, logging, and error tracking
• Comfortable turning vague ideas into clear, pragmatic solutions

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per year (paid monthly)
• Equity: 0.5% – 1% EMI options (4-year vesting, 1-year cliff)
