About Stanmore Residential – Life Skills Service
Stanmore House Residential acts as both a boarding element to Stanmore House School and a residential and respite service for children across Scotland. We support young people aged 5 to 20 with a range of complex disabilities within our bright, fully adapted residential and school campus on the outskirts of Lanark.
Our Life Skills Service supports young people up to the age of 26 in a mock-home environment, helping them develop essential independent living skills such as cooking, domestic tasks, and money management.
About the Role
We are looking for a caring and motivated Support Worker to join our Life Skills team. You will support young people with disabilities to live fulfilling lives by delivering person-centred support and engaging activities in a safe, positive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with daily activities and personal goals
- Facilitate meaningful opportunities and community activities
- Provide personal care and administer medication where required
- Maintain accurate records
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
About You
- Compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willing to work towards an SVQ qualification (training provided)
- Experience in care is desirable but not essential
Drivers are preferred, as the role requires driving a manual adapted vehicle or bus.
