Overview
NHS Highland is looking for a data-driven problem solver to embed high-quality, timely reporting across Procurement & Supply Chain. This role supports operational efficiency, cost reduction, and improved service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and paginated reports (SSRS/Report Builder).
- Extract, model, and validate data from multiple sources (SQL Server/data warehouse).
- Apply AI-enabled analytics (Power BI Copilot, AI visuals, natural-language queries, anomaly detection, forecasting).
- Respond to routine and ad hoc reporting needs; support programme reporting (savings tracker, KPIs, risk dashboards).
- Collaborate with Finance, eHealth, and service teams to standardize reporting, strengthen data literacy, and improve data quality.
What You’ll Bring (Essential)
- Degree or significant experience in complex analysis and data reporting.
- Proven Power BI skills: data modelling (DAX/Power Query), visual design, publishing & governance.
- Practical SQL skills and Excel proficiency.
- Experience applying AI responsibly for insight generation.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, excellent communication.
Information Governance:
- Understanding of UK GDPR, FOI, Caldicott Principles.
- Commitment to bias-aware, explainable analytics.
Desirable Skills
- Power BI Admin/Tenant governance, Power Automate.
- Python/R in Power BI or other ML tooling.
- SSIS/ADF or ETL experience, API data ingestion.
- Experience rolling out reporting standards and improving data quality.
