Overview
Eden Brown Synergy is recruiting Learning Disability Social Workers to support adults within South Tyneside Council. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals seeking flexible working arrangements while making a meaningful impact in adult social care.
You will work with adults with learning disabilities, ensuring high-quality assessments, care planning, and safeguarding in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of adults with learning disabilities
- Complete Care Act assessments and reviews
- Develop person-centred support plans
- Work collaboratively with health professionals and partner agencies
- Ensure safeguarding duties are carried out effectively
- Maintain accurate and timely case records
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration
- Experience working within Adult Learning Disability services
- Strong knowledge of Care Act legislation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
