About the Role
Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker to join the Family Help Team at Norfolk County Council.
You will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, supporting children and families through assessment, intervention, and court proceedings. This role involves leadership responsibilities and close collaboration with Family Practitioners, Social Workers, and specialist intervention professionals to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Undertake complex assessments and direct work with children and families
- Manage a varied caseload, including court-related work
- Ensure legal processes are followed accurately and within required timescales
- Provide guidance and professional support to junior social workers and Family Practitioners
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and compliant case records
- Respond effectively to crisis situations with professionalism
About You
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
- Strong experience in children’s services, including court work
- Sound understanding of statutory frameworks for children and families
- Ability to manage complex caseloads while supporting colleagues
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proactive, flexible, and resilient approach to work
Essential Requirements
- Social Work qualification (Degree or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within children’s services
- Registered with Social Work England
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Working Environment
- Hybrid working arrangement
- On-patch visits approximately three days per week
- Office base at County Hall, Norfolk
