Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Technical Support Analyst to join our IT Support team. The successful candidate will provide expert assistance to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems across the organisation. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about delivering excellent customer service within the IT sector.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support via help desk channels for hardware, software, and network issues
- Troubleshoot software across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms
- Resolve connectivity issues related to LAN, VPN, and firewall configurations
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and peripherals
- Manage and document tickets using BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira
- Assist with network troubleshooting involving switches, routers, and wireless access points
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate IT teams when required
- Maintain documentation of common issues and solutions
- Communicate technical information clearly and professionally to end-users
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical or IT support roles
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and network security
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office and general computer hardware
- Proficiency with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Cisco CCNA) are desirable but not essential
