Overview
YMCA Crewe is seeking a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Cafe Assistant to support daily café operations. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high hygiene standards, and assisting with food preparation during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a welcoming and positive experience for every customer
- Serve customers cheerfully and ensure satisfaction
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the café and kitchen
- Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
- Assist Café Chefs with food preparation during busy periods
- Maintain a clean, sanitised, and organised workstation
- Support hospitality food preparation for room hire when required
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Report incidents, defects, or safety concerns promptly
- Use recommended cleaning products and maintain stock levels
- Communicate effectively with the line manager
- Be punctual and maintain consistent attendance
- Work flexibly to meet changing service needs
