Summary
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality websites and web applications. This role requires strong front-end and back-end development expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within an agile environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, test, and deploy responsive websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Design user interfaces with a focus on user experience (UX) principles and accessibility standards.
Build and maintain server-side applications using Django, ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails, Spring Framework, Node.js, or PHP.
Manage and optimise databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, SQLite, and Redis.
Integrate third-party APIs and develop RESTful or GraphQL services.
Use version control systems such as Git or SVN and collaborate via GitHub or GitLab.
Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Ansible, or Azure DevOps.
Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure code quality.
Create wireframes and prototypes using Trello or similar project management tools.
Optimise websites for SEO, performance, and responsiveness across devices.
Maintain system architecture documentation and participate in SDLC processes.
Stay updated with modern web development trends, DevOps practices, and cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience in front-end development with HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Bootstrap, Redux, and jQuery.
Strong back-end development skills using PHP, Python (Django), Java/.NET, or Ruby on Rails.
Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or SQLite.
Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS or Azure.
Knowledge of API development including RESTful services and SOAP.
Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
Strong understanding of responsive web design principles.
Ability to perform unit testing and debugging using IDEs such as Visual Studio or WebStorm.
Excellent organisational skills and experience working in Agile environments using Jira or Trello.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
