About the Role
British Red Cross is recruiting Support Workers to join its Health and Care team in Falkirk. This role supports adults to live independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes and communities. No formal care experience is required—kindness, patience, and strong people skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal, emotional, and practical support
- Assist with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication
- Promote safety, wellbeing, and independence
- Carry out risk assessments and welfare checks
- Liaise with health and social care professionals
Requirements
- Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- Willingness to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months
- Excellent communication skills and a caring approach
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Care experience is beneficial but not essential
