Overview
Gauvin Tech Consultancy Ltd is seeking a highly skilled IT Network Engineer to join its growing technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining enterprise-level network infrastructure across on-premise, data center, and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage LAN, WAN, and data center network infrastructures
- Configure and maintain Cisco ASA firewalls, Meraki switches, and access points
- Manage routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, IPsec VPNs, and SD-WAN
- Implement network security solutions such as IDS/IPS, PKI, LDAP/Active Directory, SSO, and SSL/TLS
- Support VMware vSphere environments and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Perform network monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and performance tuning using SolarWinds, Splunk, and PRTG
- Automate network configurations using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Ansible
- Support fiber optics, VoIP systems, DNS/DHCP, SAN storage, and Linux/UNIX environments
- Collaborate with Agile and DevOps teams supporting CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain network documentation and procedures in line with ITIL best practices
Requirements
- Proven experience in LAN/WAN network design and management
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, VPN (IPsec), LDAP, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS/ASA/Meraki and Juniper devices
- Experience with Linux systems (Ubuntu, CentOS), BSD, or Solaris
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere, AWS, Azure, and containerization technologies (Docker/Citrix – advantage)
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting
- Strong understanding of network security, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability assessment tools
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills
- CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent certifications preferred
