We are currently recruiting a Procurement Business Officer to support Health Education & Improvement Wales. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your procurement career within a high-profile public-sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between NWSSP Local Procurement and internal customers
- Represent the procurement function at various organisational levels
- Assist in monitoring and prioritising category work plans
- Work with departments to embed procurement into early business planning
- Support the Assistant Head of National Sourcing on procurement issues and projects
- Contribute to delivery of the NWSSP Business Plan

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
- CIPS Level 4 / NVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above), including Maths and English, or equivalent experience
Experience (Essential)
- Knowledge of purchasing principles and contract law
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders
Experience (Desirable)
- Tendering and specification writing
- Ability to work to deadlines
Skills and Abilities (Essential)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills and Abilities (Desirable)
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex data

Language Requirement
Welsh language skills are desirable. Welsh and English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
