About the Role

QBE Europe is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join its Transformation and Technology team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale modernisation initiatives within a leading global insurance organisation.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, define requirements, and deliver high-value solutions that improve customer outcomes and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Focus

  • Put customer needs at the centre of all analysis activities
  • Anticipate future challenges and opportunities to deliver long-term value
  • Analyse and challenge business problems to uncover true requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, Developers, Testers, and Architects
  • Align business and technology strategies to prioritise outcomes

Business & Systems Analysis

  • Break down complex requirements into epics, user stories, and business requirements
  • Define and document functional and non-functional requirements
  • Develop process maps, data models, and target operating models
  • Support testing, validation, and acceptance of delivered solutions

Agile & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate actively in Agile and DevOps ceremonies
  • Drive continuous improvement within delivery teams
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks

About You

  • Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and change management skills
  • Insurance industry experience
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working in Agile and DevOps environments
  • Ability to manage ambiguity in fast-paced environments
  • Experience mentoring or coaching analysts
  • Relevant professional qualification (desirable)
