Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Hotel Services Assistant to join its Support Services team at the Derwent Unit. The role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a high-quality cleaning service across wards and communal areas
  • Damp mopping, buffing, and vacuuming floors using cleaning machinery
  • Cleaning furniture, fittings, windows, wall tiles, and sanitary areas
  • High dusting of radiators, pipes, ledges, and fixtures
  • Replenishing disposable items such as soap, paper towels, and waste bags
  • Emptying and cleaning refuse bins and disposal areas
  • Cleaning lockers, beds, and mattresses when vacated
  • Preparing dining areas and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
  • Reporting faults, breakages, or pest issues
  • Completing relevant paperwork and supporting the ward team

Person Specification

Essential

  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety
  • Good communication skills

Desirable

  • Previous cleaning or domestic services experience
