Overview
The IT Desktop Analyst will provide responsive and professional 1st and 2nd line IT support to students and staff across the University.
You will:
- Diagnose and resolve IT issues within agreed service levels
- Support staff devices and student computer labs
- Troubleshoot software, hardware, printers, and infrastructure issues
- Provide AV and event support when required
- Install and maintain IT equipment, including specialist teaching and research technology
- Use incident management systems to track and resolve tickets
- Ensure compliance with IT legislation and Health & Safety policies
This is a dynamic role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving and working in an educational environment.
Essential Requirements
- HND qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Strong customer service focus
- Working knowledge of IT and AV technologies in a teaching environment
- Proficiency in:
- Windows OS
- Microsoft 365 applications
- Mac OS
- Experience supporting users via phone, email, and instant messaging
- Familiarity with incident management systems
- Awareness of IT legislative frameworks
- Commitment to continuous professional development
