As a Business Data Analyst, you will support senior analysts in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing business data to help teams make informed decisions. You will also assist in preparing reports and dashboards that track business performance.
About the Role
The Entry-Level Business Data Analyst will play an important role in supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will work with datasets, help maintain data quality, and assist in preparing reports and documentation.
This position offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, while collaborating with multiple departments across the company.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior analysts in gathering and documenting business requirements for reporting and data-related projects.
- Review, organize, and clean datasets using Microsoft Excel and basic SQL queries.
- Identify and correct duplicate or missing data to ensure accurate reporting.
- Create basic dashboards and reports using Excel or Tableau to track business performance.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with different departments.
- Help prepare documentation such as requirement summaries, reports, and user stories.
- Support the team in maintaining data accuracy and consistency across projects.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, filtering, and pivot tables.
- Basic understanding of SQL is preferred but not mandatory.
