 Summary

Medinet Clinical Services Limited is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Nurse Prescriber to join its remote Adult ADHD service. This is an exciting time of development and expansion within the ADHD provision, and the organisation requires a dedicated professional to provide clinical care and support the service team.

The successful candidate will work clinically as an ADHD nurse prescriber while managing a specialist service for adults with ADHD and co-occurring neurodiverse or mental health difficulties.


Main Duties of the Job

Provide clinical care and management for adults with ADHD and co-occurring neurodiverse or mental health conditions.
Prescribe medication and manage treatment plans.
Lead and support the ADHD service team.
Ensure high standards of patient care and safety.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
Participate in continuous professional development and training.
Manage ADHD medication review clinics and coordinate specialist services.
Maintain an active caseload and manage patient assessments and treatment plans.
Work autonomously within professional guidelines.
Contribute to policy development, research, service evaluation and staff training.
Work effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.

 Responsibilities

Act as a highly specialist practitioner in the assessment, treatment and pharmacological management of adults with ADHD and co-morbid mental health or neurodiverse conditions.
Work independently and take full responsibility for own caseload and clinical decisions.
Coordinate ADHD medication review and titration clinics with medical staff and other prescribers.
Initiate and review ADHD medications as a non-medical prescriber.
Develop and update treatment plans with clients and carers.
Monitor patients’ physical health and provide necessary interventions.
Provide support to clients or carers between clinic appointments.
Deliver ADHD psychoeducation workshops.
Support development of nurse-led ADHD medication clinics.
Assess risk and develop risk management plans.
Deliver evidence-based treatments and evaluate outcomes.
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
Ensure services are accessible to diverse communities.

Essential Qualifications

First level nursing qualification with registration such as RMN, RSCN or HV.
Non-medical prescriber qualification with NMC registration.
Professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

MSc qualification or equivalent postgraduate training.
Experience working as an independent non-medical prescriber in an ADHD or adult mental health service.
Experience conducting adult mental health and ADHD assessments.
Clinical leadership experience including supervision and staff development.
Experience using quality improvement methodologies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to train and mentor staff.
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

Additional Information

This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975.
