Overview
The HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is seeking a Support Officer to join the Courts & Tribunals Service Centre in Loughborough.
In this role, you will provide telephone and administrative support to court users, helping individuals and legal representatives navigate court services. This is a fast-paced customer service role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls from the public and legal representatives
- Provide support through telephone, email, and webchat
- Perform general administrative tasks
- Assist with case progression and court hearing support
- Deliver empathetic and professional service to customers dealing with sensitive legal matters
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and complex enquiries
- Experience in administrative or customer-focused roles (desirable)
- Proficiency with IT systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
Working Pattern
- Office hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
- Standard 37 hours per week
- Hybrid working may be available depending on the service line
- Part-time roles must be minimum 30 hours per week
Training
- 1-week induction (can be completed remotely)
- 6-week full-time training academy (office-based)
