Job Description
The University of Sussex is embarking on an exciting strategic journey, and we’re inviting a Data Architect to help shape a data-driven future that will empower our researchers, students, and staff.
You’ll work across major project portfolios and initiatives to design and improve how data is structured and utilized. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing models, standards, and data products
- Advancing data technologies, including AI
- Supporting data migration and integration projects
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the University
You will contribute to long-term initiatives aligned with our Sussex 2035 strategy.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in a Data Architect or related role
- Strong understanding of data structures, tools, and governance
- Familiarity with reporting and analytics platforms
- Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Working knowledge of standards like ArchiMate, BPMN, DMN, and TOGAF is a plus
- Experience with modelling tools is desirable
