About Hawthorn Court
Hawthorn Court is a well-established 22-bed residential care home just outside Swansea. We provide person-centred care for older adults, including those with dementia and complex needs. Our team is known for its warmth, dedication, and collaborative spirit.
Overview
As a Day Care Assistant, you will provide direct, compassionate support to residents, ensuring dignity and wellbeing throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, mobility support)
- Assist residents with meals and daily routines
- Administer medications
- Monitor and report on resident wellbeing
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support
Requirement
- Minimum 1 year of UK care home experience (essential)
- QCF/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work toward it
- Medication administration training (essential)
- Experience with dementia or high-dependency needs
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
