Overview
The University of Sussex is seeking a Senior Strategic Finance Business Partner to lead the Academic Faculties Finance Business Partnering team. You will work closely with the Provost, Faculty Executive Deans, Heads of School, and the Director of Strategic Planning and Performance to deliver professional financial business partnering services.
You will support budget holders in developing financially sustainable strategic and operational plans that deliver value for money and align with University objectives. Your role will involve providing insightful advisory services on financial performance, forecasting, Five Year Financial Plans, and annual academic planning. You will help build strong financial management literacy and enhance reporting and analytics capabilities across the Academic Faculties.

About Our Division
The Finance Division, led by the Chief Financial Officer, employs 80 staff who deliver high-quality financial and commercial services. The team works closely with academic and professional service colleagues to:
- Maintain efficient systems and processes
- Identify commercial opportunities
- Manage financial risk
- Enhance financial capability across the University
