Overview
Computershare is seeking a FinOps Analyst to join our brand-new FinOps team in Edinburgh. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new function from the ground up, helping to define its direction while working in a global, flexible, and growth-oriented environment.
In this role, you will manage and optimise the financial aspects of cloud resources—initially focusing on Azure—ensuring transparency, cost efficiency, and accountability across teams. You will work closely with finance, engineering, and operations to track usage, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support budgeting and forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Track and report cloud spend, providing usage summaries and variance analysis.
- Analyse usage patterns to identify optimisation opportunities.
- Develop and execute FinOps processes aligned with ITSM workflows and change management.
- Prepare historical spend reports, trend analysis, and assist in forecasting and budgeting.
- Monitor policy compliance for cloud usage and cost control.
About You
You have proven experience in FinOps, ideally in a financial services environment, with strong analytical and reporting skills. You are confident working in complex organisations, managing stakeholders across multiple teams.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven FinOps experience.
- Cloud expertise—especially Azure and AWS.
- Strong reporting skills, including PowerBI & Grafana dashboards.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- High attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
