Location: Stratford, London (Office-based with high flexibility – 1–2 days/week in office)
Contract: Permanent | Full-time (35 hours/week)
Salary: £34,000–£36,500 + benefits

About the Role
Cancer Research UK’s newly created Insights & Evaluation team supports the Communications department in delivering data-driven insights and measuring campaign performance.
You will work with teams across Strategic Communications, Social Media, Digital News, Media Relations, Internal Communications, and Cancer Stories to provide actionable insights and ensure communications activities are impactful.
This is a varied, autonomous role where you’ll help shape a new team, using evidence-led reporting to strengthen the charity’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver regular and priority evaluation reports for communications activities.
- Generate actionable insights to support impactful campaigns.
- Conduct research and analysis using reporting tools.
- Develop innovative ways to gather and present data.
- Perform data quality checks on internal and external datasets.
- Act as an internal point of contact for data requests and evaluation guidance.
- Stay updated on best practices in communications measurement.
What We’re Looking For
- Background in Insights & Evaluation, Communications, Media, or Social Media Analysis (agency or in-house).
- Understanding of the communications landscape (traditional media, social media, digital/web).
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to translate data into compelling stories.
- Proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
- Intermediate/advanced Excel skills and PowerPoint proficiency.
