Role Overview
As a Data Analyst Apprentice, you will support the performance oversight of Heirloom Fair Legal’s financing portfolio. This role combines:
- Financial modelling
- Credit and legal evaluation
- Portfolio performance tracking
- Reporting
You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure risks are proactively managed and the portfolio is positioned for optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and assess claim outcomes and borrower behaviours against investment assumptions.
- Build and refine financial systems, reporting tools, and workflows.
- Produce regular performance reports and dashboards.
- Monitor and analyse risk concentrations, cash flow impacts, and investment metrics.
- Review legal budgets and vendor structures for financial alignment.
- Analyse performance trends and produce variance/attribution analysis.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with structured finance, private credit, legal finance, or litigation funding portfolios.
- Strong financial modelling, scenario analysis, and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative ability with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of investment evaluation, accounting principles, and risk assessment.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Entry Requirements
Standard Entry:
- Level 3 qualification (A-levels/BTEC/apprenticeship) OR equivalent work experience (2 years in a relevant role).
- 5 GCSEs including English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above).
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft products (or similar).

Working Hours
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9am – 6pm).
