About the Role
We are recruiting for a DevOps Engineer to join our Assessment API team. This key role is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and evolution of our critical AWS-based infrastructure. You will be instrumental in driving reliability, scalability, and efficiency for our English language assessment APIs and the products and services they enable.
Working closely with the development team, you will leverage Infrastructure as Code (primarily AWS and Terraform) to automate and streamline operations, enhance system security, and empower development teams to deliver innovative solutions rapidly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for safe, reliable, and frequent deployments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Partner with developers to drive DevOps adoption and provide technical guidance.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Maintain security best practices across environments.
- Develop automation scripts (Bash/Python).
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response.
- Mentor colleagues in DevOps practices.
About You
We’re looking for an enthusiastic DevOps Engineer (or similar software infrastructure-focused role) with:
- Hands-on AWS & Terraform experience.
- CI/CD pipeline design and automation skills.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn and thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
