Overview
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role within our Analytics Development team, investigating and resolving technical issues, providing technical support, and developing high-quality infrastructure projects. You’ll design build pipelines, integrate third-party systems, and support internal analytics stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
You will operate in a primarily Microsoft tech stack environment, with both on-premises and Azure cloud hosting, alongside a Microsoft Fabric data platform.
Accountabilities
- Provide IT infrastructure and development support to analytics stakeholders
- Ensure system availability and performance across infrastructure and applications
- Build and manage pipelines in Azure DevOps (ADO) using IaC templates
- Act as a technical resource for change projects and support issues
- Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to ensure service delivery
- Monitor infrastructure health, security alerts, and performance
- Design and deliver infrastructure solutions (on-prem and Azure)
- Guide and mentor junior team members
- Produce and maintain documentation and project reports
- Foster continuous improvement and engineering best practices
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field
- 8+ years’ experience in a technical/DevOps role
- Strong Microsoft Windows OS and Active Directory administration
- Expertise in Azure administration and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Experience with VMWare, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
- SQL Server administration (installation, access, backups)
- Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and firewall/switch/router administration (Palo Alto/Cisco preferred)
- Application packaging, deployment, and image management
- Experience with identity & access management (Okta, OneLogin, ADFS, Duo)
- Knowledge of monitoring, security tools, and backup systems (advantageous: PRTG, Rubrik, Mimecast, Zscaler, BitDefender)
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Agile/Scrum experience
