Summary
As a Global Product Costing Intern, you will support the team in analyzing and calculating the costs of goods produced or purchased by the company across global factories. You will help gather data, build cost models, and prepare reports that provide insights into product profitability and pricing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Collect, compile, and analyze data related to product costs (materials, labor, overhead).
- Develop and maintain cost models and structures, including new product development.
- Support preparation of cost reports and recommend cost optimization strategies.
- Update and maintain product costing spreadsheets and databases.
- Monitor and track product cost changes, assessing impact on profitability.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and sales to ensure accurate costing data.
- Assist in preparing PowerPoint presentations and Excel reports for management.
- Participate in budget forecasts and financial planning for product costing.
- Maintain and update cost-related data in Power BI for real-time reporting.
- Work full-time on-site at the Redhill office (no hybrid/WFH option).
Skills & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
- Strong knowledge of PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Familiarity with Power BI (preferred).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex data sets.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior coursework or experience in product costing, financial analysis, or business operations.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
