Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Brunel Centre, a collaborative initiative between UWE Bristol, the University of Bath, and Futures West, funded by the Research England RED Fund.

As Development Director, you will:

  • Lead on external income generation and business development
  • Manage and secure partnerships with regional and national stakeholders
  • Support research, knowledge exchange, and policy innovation
  • Represent the Centre at workshops and events across the South West and the UK

You will be based at the University of Bath but work flexibly across partner institutions and the region.

Ideal candidate

We are looking for a dynamic leader with:

  • Proven experience in strategy and/or business development (business, university, or public sector)
  • Strong partnership management skills, including procurement and contracting
  • Experience in securing research and innovation funding
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the regional policy context in the West of England
