As a Logistics Specialist, you’ll work in AWS Data Centres in the Greater Western London area. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence. Frequent lifting (up to 18 kg), precise record-keeping, and travel (up to 50%) within 30 miles of London Heathrow Airport are part of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Review Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and demand to maintain stock levels.
- Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to optimize parts flow and track inventory lifecycle.
- Work with Data Center Operations Technicians and Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately.
- Partner with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase parts and process RMAs.
- Handle data entry, respond to peer organization queries, and maintain metrics dashboards.
- Manage scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups.
- Keep accurate records of all commodities in and out of company locations.
- Perform manual handling, unpacking, and verification of incoming shipments.
Basic Qualifications
- Prior logistics experience in inventory management, shipments, maintenance, stock control, and reverse logistics.
- Valid driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a complex logistics setup (Data Center experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with Inventory Management Systems and tools.
- Knowledge of IT and network equipment.
- Ability to travel up to 50% within 30 miles of London Heathrow Airport.
