Overview

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Care Support Worker to join our dedicated team on Ward C7 at Russells Hall Hospital.

As a Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting patients and contributing to the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care under the supervision of registered nurses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Nursing/Midwifery team to provide high-quality, individualised care.
  • Support patients with personal care, monitoring health and wellbeing, and reporting changes in condition.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and healthcare colleagues.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
  • Undertake training and development as part of the Trust’s support worker programme.

Essential Requirements

  • Maths & English Qualification: GCSE A–D / Grade 4–9 / Functional Skills Level 1.
  • Healthcare Qualification: QCF/NVQ Level 2 in Healthcare or equivalent experience.
  • Care Certificate: or ability to complete within 12 weeks of starting employment.
  • Good IT skills to update patient information systems.
  • Teamwork and strong communication skills.

Desirable: Experience in a healthcare environment and manual handling skills.
