The Role

As a full-stack developer, you’ll contribute to building applications that support Jisc’s services. While developers may specialise in certain areas (frontend, API, or infrastructure), you’ll be expected to work across the stack, using agile methodologies and continuous delivery practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Writing high-quality code to agreed standards.
- Following secure application and software development processes.
- Collaborating with product owners, users, and team members to translate requirements into development tasks.
- Participating in testing and release cycles.
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrable experience in a software development environment.
- Expertise with C#, SQL, GitHub, and AWS or Azure DevOps.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new languages and technologies.
- Ability to explore solutions across the full technology stack.
Don’t meet every single requirement? We encourage you to apply anyway – you may be just the right candidate for this or other roles!

We don’t mandate a set number of office days. Hybrid working patterns are agreed with your manager. Occasional travel to hub offices may be required.
