Chevron is accepting online applications for the Quantitative Analyst position in London. As a Quantitative Analyst, you will implement, validate, and support models and tools used to value and optimize new LNG deals and portfolios. Your work will focus on identifying value drivers, assessing risks, and developing high-quality analytical solutions that support strategic commercial decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and support quantitative models and tools for LNG deal valuation and portfolio optimization.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify value drivers and risk exposures across traded commodities.
  • Deliver reliable, efficient, and high-quality code while maintaining and improving existing systems.
  • Stay updated on developments in quantitative modeling and implement improvements where appropriate.
  • Present model results and insights clearly to commercial stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g., Quantitative Finance, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics).
  • At least 5 years of experience developing option pricing models in a trading environment.
  • Strong understanding of optimization, probability, stochastic calculus, and financial modeling principles.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or C++.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Energy Markets (LNG, gas, power, or environmental products).
  • Additional programming languages (e.g., Java) are advantageous.
  • Experience working with cross-location teams is desirable.
