Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Warrington. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference every day in a structured and nurturing environment.

 Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering personalised learning activities
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Build trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement
  • Support pupils both in the classroom and during off-site activities

Requirements

  • Experience working with SEMH, SEN, or in a care/support setting
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
  • Team Teach or similar training is desirable but not essential
