At Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT), we are seeking a Senior Social Worker to join our Adult Community Mental Health Service in Ware.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within an experienced multidisciplinary team, supporting and leading others in delivering high-quality care and safeguarding in line with the Care Act.

Main Duties

  • Promote wellbeing, choice, and control for service users in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide expert social care advice and leadership within the team.
  • Support newly qualified social workers through the ASYE programme.
  • Undertake or train to become an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP).
  • Carry out complex assessments and reviews in line with The Care Act 2014.
  • Act as a champion for best practice in social care and safeguarding.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Care Act 2014 and safeguarding.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising others.
  • Evidence of partnership working and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Desirable:

  • Additional qualifications such as CBT, Family Therapy, or Best Interests Assessor training.
